Danielle Epler, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Accepting New Clients
Children, Teens, Families
Hi! I am Dr. Danielle Epler. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and the owner of The LEAP Clinic. For the past decade, I have worked with neurodivergent children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, autism clinics, and a children's hospital. I completed my doctoral training at The University of Indianapolis with a specialization in working with children and adolescents. Following graduation in 2018, I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana. My postdoctoral training was an interdisciplinary fellowship that specialized in assessment for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Since obtaining my license, I have provided specialized autism evaluations for children and adolescents in the greater Philadelphia area. These experiences helped solidify my desire to support families as they work to understand their child's unique patterns of strengths and needs through the process of psychological or neurodevelopmental testing. Through the testing process, I can provide clarity for children and their families about why they may be experiencing some of their current challenges. We can also work together to develop a road map to let their child's strengths shine through and provide support in their areas of need.

As a clinician, it is also important to me to be able to provide therapeutic services for families. While I work from a strengths-based approach to support families, it is very important that I take the time to understand each child's needs and adapt treatment to meet their specific needs. By focusing on building strong relationships that prioritize respect and compassion, I can help children develop strategies to regulate their emotions, communicate their needs in more effective ways, and feel more comfortable navigating relationships with family and peers. In addition, I can help parents develop new strategies to support their children in times of emotional distress and create environments that capitalize on their child's strengths.
